Appleseed Community Mental Health Center awarded BBB accredited charity status

Appleseed Community Mental Health Center awarded BBB accredited charity status

Appleseed Community Mental Health Center (“Appleseed”) has achieved BBB charity accreditation. Appleseed’s mission is to walk with families and individuals on their journey to live healthy, whole, and productive lives by offering comprehensive and integrated behavioral health, housing, outreach & prevention, substance-use disorder, and victim services.

The BBB measures a variety of factors, including board oversight, fundraising practices, finances and measuring effectiveness. The depth of BBB charity evaluation goes beyond that typically included in financial statements and government filings, as well as a deeper dive than other charity monitoring organizations.

Each BBB charity report process involves a rigorous evaluation of the 20 BBB Standards for Charity Accountability as well as any needed guidance on how to implement best practices. This accreditation signifies that Appleseed is committed to trust and transparency in the giving community. Thousands of charities have reports available to the public at bbb.orgMeeting all standards and earning accredited charity status is an honor and privilege for Appleseed and its staff.
