Appleseed and the Center for Addictions will be collaborating on Thursday, April 29th for an additional Motivational Interviewing training. Motivational Interviewing is one of the most evidence-based, effective techniques used to help substance use clients make positive change. During this presentation, participants will become more versed in a variety of skills related to MI. Participants will gain knowledge and practice using a case study. This training is free. You do not need to attend Part 1 to join. 1.5 CEUs available for Social Workers, Counselors, Marriage & Family Therapists, and Chemical Dependency Professionals.

Seeking Safety Support Group: Thursdays from 6-7:30pm at the Professional Building starting April 8 for 6 weeks. Open to any woman who has a history of trauma, free. Group members will learn present-focused techniques to help attain safety from trauma and substance misuse by emphasizing coping skills, grounding techniques, and education without the need to delve into specific trauma narrative.
